NINTH HOUR QUARTET

Everywhere we go, people always ask us two questions:

1) I understand that a clock is your logo, but if you're the Ninth Hour why does it say 3:00?

 Back in Hebrew time, people told the time by the placement of the sun in the sky. Since the sun rose at approximately 6:00 am, then the ninth hour of the day would be about 3:00 pm.

 2) What does Ninth Hour mean?

If you look on our home page, you will see a particular scripture: Luke 23:44-46. This is telling us that the ninth hour is when darkness fell upon the earth, the veil in the temple was ripped from top to bottom, and Jesus breathed his last. We really emphasized the veil being ripped because if you know the story of the old temple, behind the veil was where God was located. Only a priest could enter behind the curtain once a year with a sacrifice, and there he would lay down the burdens and sins of the people to be forgiven. When the veil was torn, this symbolized that we don't have to go to a priest anymore. We can have a one-on-one relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. His gift to us was his life and now we can personally give Him the glory and praise.
